3. Artificial Intelligence and Data Processing

Our Services use artificial intelligence to analyze your assessment responses and generate personalized reports. We believe in transparency about how this works:

3.1 AI Processing

When you complete an assessment, your responses are sent to third-party AI services (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers) for analysis. These services process your data to identify patterns and generate insights for your report. We select providers whose API data usage policies do not use submitted data to train their models.

3.2 Human Review

For our paid assessments (GPS and Telora), AI-generated content is reviewed by our trained staff before your report is delivered. This means a human being will read portions of your responses and the AI-generated analysis to ensure quality and accuracy.

3.3 Data Retention for AI

Your assessment responses and generated reports are stored in our systems to provide you continued access to your results and to improve our Services. We do not sell your personal narratives or assessment data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers to deliver our Services. These providers only access your information as necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect your data:

AI Language Model Providers: We use third-party AI services (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to analyze assessment responses and generate report content. We select providers with privacy-protective data practices.

Virtuous: Our payment processor and CRM system. Virtuous processes your payment information and helps us manage customer relationships. We do not store your credit card information. Learn more at virtuous.org/privacy.

Google Cloud Platform: Our hosting provider. Your data is stored on Google's secure cloud infrastructure. Google's privacy practices are at cloud.google.com/security/privacy.

Mailgun: Our email delivery service. Mailgun sends transactional emails (purchase confirmations, report delivery) on our behalf.

Microsoft Clarity: We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website. Clarity collects usage data including clicks, scrolls, and session recordings to help us improve user experience. Learn more at clarity.microsoft.com/terms.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: With third-party vendors who assist us in providing our Services, as described above.

With Abide: As The Purpose Practice operates under Abide, we may share information within our organization for operational purposes.
