THE PURPOSE PRACTICE
TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: January 2026
Welcome to The Purpose Practice ("TPP," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at thepurposepractice.co, our assessments, reports, coaching services, and all related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
The Purpose Practice operates as a program under Abide, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving North Omaha, Nebraska. All proceeds from our Services support Abide's mission work.
1. Our Services
The Purpose Practice provides faith-based purpose discovery resources designed to help Christians discover and live out their unique calling. Our mission is making living on purpose possible and practical. We offer the following Services:
1.1 Purpose Profiles
A free diagnostic tool that identifies your primary purpose orientation among eight distinct profiles, providing initial insights into how you naturally engage with purpose.
1.2 GPS Assessment (God's Purpose Survey)
A paid assessment (approximately 20-30 minutes) that maps your gifts, passions, and story to identify recurring purpose themes and patterns in your life.
1.3 Telora Assessment
Our comprehensive story mapping experience (approximately 60-90 minutes) that uses narrative analysis to examine how your life story reveals God's purposes. Telora reports include AI-assisted analysis with human theological review.
1.4 Purpose Planner
A downloadable PDF resource to help you develop rhythms and habits that align your daily life with your purpose.
1.5 Coaching Services
One-on-one purpose coaching to help you apply assessment insights to your life, work, and relationships
2. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Transparency about our methods is important to us. Our Services utilize artificial intelligence ("AI") technology as part of our assessment and report generation process. This section explains how we use AI and what that means for you.
2.1 How We Use AI
We use AI language models from third-party providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar services) to analyze your assessment responses and generate personalized reports.
2.2 Human Review
We believe technology should serve pastoral care, not replace it. All AI-generated content in our paid assessments (GPS and Telora) is reviewed by trained human reviewers before delivery. This review ensures theological accuracy, contextual relevance, and quality. Our methodology combines technological efficiency with pastoral sensitivity.
2.3 Data Processing
When you complete an assessment, your responses are transmitted securely to our systems, sent to third-party AI services for analysis, used to generate your personalized report, and stored in our database to provide you continued access. We select AI providers whose data usage policies do not use API data to train their models.
2.4 AI Limitations and Expectations
You acknowledge and understand that:
- AI-generated content, even with human review, may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or interpretations that may not fully capture your unique situation.
- The insights provided are intended to prompt reflection and conversation, not to serve as definitive declarations about your life, calling, or future.
- AI technology is one tool among many in your purpose discovery journey and should be considered alongside prayer, Scripture, community, and wise counsel.
- The quality of your report depends significantly on the depth and authenticity of your responses.
- Our reports do not tell you what to do. They surface patterns for your consideration. Any action you take based on these insights is your decision and your responsibility.
3. Nature of Services
3.1 Educational and Spiritual Resources
Our Services are educational and spiritual resources designed to support your personal and spiritual growth. They are NOT: professional counseling, therapy, or mental health services; medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice or treatment; career counseling or employment placement services; financial, legal, or professional advice of any kind; or a substitute for consultation with qualified professionals in any field.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a mental health professional or call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) immediately.
3.2 Faith-Based Framework
Our Services operate from a Christian worldview and theological framework. We believe purpose is found in relationship with God and participation in His ongoing creative, redemptive, and missional work in the world. Our assessments and reports incorporate Scripture, theological concepts, and faith-based language. By using our Services, you acknowledge and accept this faith-based approach.
3.3 Your Decisions Are Your Own
Our assessments and reports provide insights for reflection. They are not directives, instructions, or commands. You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on our Services. Before making significant life changes (including career transitions, relationship decisions, financial commitments, relocations, or any action with material consequences), you should seek guidance from trusted mentors, pastoral counsel, and your own prayerful discernment. The Purpose Practice is not responsible for outcomes resulting from decisions you make based on your assessment results.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use our Services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
4.2 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, truthful information when creating an account and responding to assessment questions. The quality and relevance of your report depends directly on the authenticity and completeness of your responses.
4.3 Personal Use
Your assessment results and reports are for your personal use only. You may share your report with trusted advisors, coaches, or mentors for your own growth. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit your report or our content without our written permission.
4.4 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: submit content that is offensive, harmful, illegal, or violates the rights of others; attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or misuse our AI systems; use automated systems to access our Services without permission; impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation; or interfere with the proper functioning of our Services.
5. Purchases, Payments, and Refunds
5.1 Pricing and Payment
All purchases are processed through our payment provider (Virtuous). Prices are listed in U.S. dollars on our website and are subject to change without notice. Payment is required before accessing paid assessments. We do not store your credit card information.
5.2 Refund Policy
Due to the digital nature of our Services and the personalized AI processing involved, all sales are final once you begin an assessment or download a digital product. We cannot offer refunds for completed or partially completed assessments or downloaded materials.
If you experience technical issues that prevent you from completing your assessment or receiving your report, please contact us at contact@thepurposepractice.co within 14 days of purchase. We will work with you to resolve the issue or, at our discretion, provide a replacement or refund.
5.3 Nonprofit Status
Purchases from The Purpose Practice are payments for services rendered, not tax-deductible charitable donations. All proceeds support Abide's mission, but you are receiving a product in exchange for your payment.
